Why I created Simply Core
Hi, I’m Carol.
For years, I’ve lived with back pain and it’s actually the reason I started Pilates in the first place.
But as I moved into midlife, I realised something had shifted. The exercises I’d always relied on didn’t seem to keep my back stable anymore. My body had changed and I needed a new way to build real strength that would support my back every single day, so I could finally be twinge‑free.
I also noticed my waistline was changing and the things that used to work for me… simply didn’t anymore. I faced a choice: push harder with high‑intensity workouts that would only make my back worse, or find a smarter, safer way to get results.
So, I started looking at the way I was teaching my classes and what was truly helping my clients. I dug into the research, experimented and put the pieces together.
